'Female Founders - Get Ready for Acquisition' brought together a professional panel of Irish ecosystem leaders engaged for a part-panel, part-workshop event designed for female founders.

DIGITAL TWIN TECHNOLOGY: USE CASES AND TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION

Through enabling virtual replicas that mirror the physical world to optimise performance, predict system behaviours, improve efficiency, and reduce costs, digital twinning is reshaping industries, from manufacturing to healthcare, and beyond. This talk discussed the dynamic world of digital twinning and explored the current state of digital twin technology, unravelling its applications and use cases, implications, and advancements. It also provided an overview of the digital twin's technical and design needs and discussed the challenges of its implementation.

Speakers

Prof. Huan X. Nguyen received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 2007. He presently holds the position of Professor of Digital Communication Engineering within the Faculty of Science and Technology at Middlesex University London (UK). He also serves as the Director of the London Digital Twin Research Centre and leads the 5G/6G & IoT Research Group. Prof. Nguyen is a Senior Member of the IEEE, Senior Fellow the Higher Education Academy, and Chair of the Vietnamese Intellectual Society in the UK and Ireland.
